Organizations can realize considerable savings in their overall budgets by reducing spending on their facilities' energy and water use. These savings begin accruing immediately after a project is completed and many projects can be paid off with resource cost savings within 1 – 3 years. Green Resource Network helps organizations prioritize projects to deliver the best return on investment possible. We will work with our clients to assess their needs and can recommend projects for any budgetary levels.

Projects can fall into low/medium/high investment levels. Greater levels of investment provide greater savings.

Low cost projects

These projects typically cost less than $500 each and taken together can result in up to 15% savings* in resource costs. Projects could include education of organization members on conservation (reminders to turn out lights, turn down heat, etc.) or sealing building leaks.

Moderate cost projects

These projects typically start at $5-20k each (depending on annual utility usage) and taken together can result in up to 40% savings* in resource costs. Projects could include retrofitting of lighting systems or replacing plumbing fixtures.

Higher cost projects

These projects can cost over $20k each and taken together can result in up to 90-100% savings* in resource costs. These projects are more substantial and will take more time and funding to complete. Projects could include replacement of HVAC or irrigation systems and installation of solar or wind systems.
